Coco Chanel that's who!
I'm certain that she had a sense of self and knew what felt good on her body and her head and feet. How did she ever come to possess that self assureness? Coco (Gabrielle) was orphaned as a child in the late 1880's. She started at the top (of the head) by opening a hat store. From there she starte designing clothing. Coco introduced the "little black dress" in 1926. And then her signature scent Chanel No.5. Even the way that perfume name is written is simple elegance.
It's so easy to go with fads or "fashionfades" with our hair instead of remaining with our "style".
and it's OK, that is sometimes how we learn what we don't want. I remember when I had a perm and it was not for support of a style it was "THE STYLE". For years I'd cross My fingers and say "Oh not me any more." But if I needed to support a hairstyle Then I may change my mind.
The thing to remember is to question the stylist how to maintain color and condition. Same goes for massive bleaching throughout your hair. Bleached streaks of hair does not look the same as your unbleached hair. They need more conditioning and will react differently to curling or straightening irons.
Keep in mind fashion fades.... hair grows.... your style evolves.
