Zen Approach to your Hair for 2009....

What's new for 2009? Or what are we looking forward to in 2009? Yep, prosperity! Now, does that mean we look to gathering in more funds, only? A resounding NO. It means we need to center ourselves, look inward and hang on to the sturdy mast to keep us on our path to enlightenment.
Enlightenment to me means what do we value in our life? Besides many other things I value the feel and shine of my hair. Today, we'll start with the simplest of care for your hair whether it's curly, wavy, bulbous, fine, or as straight as a broom. With more of a zen approach to our haircare we can simplify and economize our haircare without being monastic.
1. Thoroughly wet your hair prior to applying shampoo to your scalp. this helps you to use less shampoo.
2. Scrub only your scalp. Massage the shampoo through the ends of your hair. roughing up the ends only make the hairends weaker.
3. Condition your hair from mid-shaft through the ends. A quqrter size for long hair is the most anyone needs.
4. Most important, rinse only 10 seconds., otherwise you will be rinsing the conditioner down the drain. Remember, the towel, your hands and your hair tools all pull moisture out of your hair. So, if some molecules of the conditioning substance can be absorbed under the cuticle your hair will retain shine and suppleness.
5. Try not to shampoo your hair everyday. Try Start Fresh Mist on your hair in between shampoos. shampooing is drying to the hair and over time can weaken your hair.

Next blog will be on zen drying your hair. Namaste
