What has Been My Worst Hair Salon Experience?

This was told online.

Mine was with color. I have freckles. Hence, ash is not a good additive for me. I tell hairdressers that but they don't get it sometimes. So, once I went to a girl who charged me 300.00 in lowlights and I left looking like a corpse. My hair was all ash brown and she removed all the warmth from my hair. It was a disaster.Another time, I went to a colorist to go lighter for the summer. She used some ultimate blonde color. I told her no ash, but she must have used it because my widows peaks were grey when I left! She said it would blend out as I shampooed but of course it did not.

Answer: Let's call her Leslie. Leslie did have knowledge of her hair color, and skin coloring. It's important that she also know her eye color and what her lifestyle is like. Meaning, does she mind coming in every 4 weeks for color or does she want to push it to 3 months. What can she tolerate?

Next, what kind of warmth does she want to see in her hair. Freckles most always denote warmth, not necesarily "red". More tomorrow.

What has been your worst hair appointment.
