To Shampoo or not.."What's a Girl to do??
Well, finally women are taking hold of what they are being taught by their stylists and haircolorists. Don't shampoo except every 2-3 days. So women are thinking, but "I FEEL like my roots are greasy or limp." They turn to the powders or Heloise's old remedies which aren't far fetched and most of the time are eco-friendly. Vinegar of any type is ascetic acid that is used in most clarifying shampoos. Many clients remember their Grandmothers using vinegar to rinse their hair. A vinegar rinse removes soap residue from the hair. In fact, I have produced a mist called Start Fresh as a response to shampooing your hair less, for your scalp to remain fresher, less irritable and to remove and lingering odors from your hair.
Hair is a fiber just like cotton in a T-shirt. If you wash that T-shirt everyday for a month, that cotton fiber and it's color will look and feel worn. The same goes for your hair. So if you are paying me "good" money for haircolor, I want that color to last and shampooing everyday will weaken that color and the hair shaft. Our obsession with clean hair is just evolving into the area of eco-money-friendly self care. www.stylelikeapro.com
